How Fumbling Got Started

 

The ministry of the Word isn't necessarily an easy thing!

 

Both of us heard the Lord calling at an age when most folks are preoccupied with school dances and childhood crushes, and so this call and this pressing toward sharing the Gospel has been with us literally as we figured out life, figured out ourselves and first starting attempting to understand God and the ageless questions of life.

 

Through every season of darkness and uncertainty, through waves and waves of devastating deaths in our families

and social circles, through moments of fear and doubt - all along the way we have found ourselves clinging to and searching the Scripture for clarity, strength and a Word in season.

 

A couple of years ago God impressed the idea upon Ray's heart to collect some of the most poignant sermons that have taken shape in some of the darkest hours of our own lives and to offer them to the world in a collection like this. And with the encouragement of family, mentors and the phenomenal help of a wonderful friend who also happens to be an even better editor and designer (thanks Keisha L. Brown!) the vision has come to fruition.

 

It is our prayer that every person who picks up this book will immediately hear some message and receive some strength from God as they fumble through the dark nights of life. And in the meantime, never stop Fumbling for the Light.
